  3. Dear Urchins, Today was my first ever proper football match in England and thanks to the hospitality of Karl and Jen and the rest of you fine Urchins, the day was absolutely wonderful. It was an absolute joy to meet so many of you and to see such a happy result for the lads with the 3-0 win. Even the good people from Margate were most kind and welcoming and it made for a truly wonderful day so thank you all. Willie
  4. My hopes and dreams for 2009? Why to make my first trip to England and then to watch my first proper English Football match on January 17th against Margate at the side of my dear friends, what more could one ask for from a new year after all?
  5. Give 'em your best Urchins, should be a wonderful day out and if you keep it together for the full 90, a 4th round match is in your future. I will be broadcasting my support on the 11th from across "the pond".
  6. I have decided to start a pledge bank drive to help rally some support for Sasha's new charity, here is the link to the pledge. http://www.pledgebank.com/Sashanobookings I sent him a message through his sight telling him to not back off he tough style of play just to not say anything to the officials to gain any extra bookings, I know my pocket book won't mind the games he gets booked and I suspect the same is true for most of you. Thanks for taking the time to look at this. Willie

If the non-active members don't renew and the active ones don't either .... Yes they have completely trashed it and all evidence of the thread is completely gone. And absolute abuse of power, outside of the very rules they have made and done for no other reason then to try and get the goat of a few members. 99% of that long and wonderful thread was not only acceptable but full of wonderful shared experiences and memories and it was easily the best place to become friends with other members and now it is all simply discarded like trash. No attempt to edit anything offensive, just took it out back and put a bullet through its head and all it has done is made distrust grow. I dearly hope EUFC is able to succeed despite the problems from MyFC.
  8. Good to see this positive out reach, hopefully it will help to bring in more good people to enjoy our lovely games.
  9. This is a big game indeed Red and I hope we get a large amount of fans to travel to this match as all the trophies we can get our hands on is for the best of our club in the short and long run.
  10. Yes, this is looking nice, he is said to have excellent pace which always comes in handy on the pitch, the excitement is building so much I'm getting a bit of the Shakes from the anticipation of the coming season.

Very true but in the short and long term we need to increase our local fan base to keep the seats full and the atmosphere at Stonebridge Road in top form for the matches.
  12. The question of what happens if MyFC falls is an interesting one and to the best of my knowledge it is not well defined. I have heard the 15,000 as the break mark for the "operator" (so 15,000 x 7.50pounds = 112,500 is how many pounds per year the operator feels they need to run the website?) but as MyFC still is getting new members, slowly but surely, and how many present members that won't renew is the big question, all this is up in the air until Feb. and hopefully the membership stays high enough that it never becomes a concern because the last thing our club needs is more funding issues and more chaos at the helm. Plus if nothing else MyFC has brought the Fleet quite a few new fans, all be it most are not local but still the team is a much bigger "blip on the radar" with MyFC involved so hopefully things work out in the long run for us all.

PatMan thanks for this, you seem to understand exactly where my posts on this thread are coming from and it is nice to know that you all can realize I'm not trying to "cause any trouble" or what have you. I simply want the best long term solution for our club. In fact, prior to this thread existing I never intended to get into any PTT discussions on this forum as I know it is more for talking about how the team and players are doing and the such but since it has been brought up and the discussion has had quite a few good points made I thought I'd "come clean" with my thoughts and see if something can be worked out with the minds of the fans.

Maybe Will and his group never specified how things would work but if that is the case why would you sell your football club to somebody with some vague non-descript idea? The whole thing will never please everybody, obviously, but somewhere is a happy ground that will continue to attract new members and will not destroy the football in the process so where is that? or do you not care and simply want MyFC to go away? Just looking for answers if anybody has them, it is obvious that many of you don't approve of my suggestions so far but I am open to change if some constructive suggestions are made. Supporters accept what? do you honestly think the supporters were given a choice in the matter? the only choice Ebbsfleet supporter received was like it or lump it. Just like the Name change. No I never said the supporters accepted it but I was trying to give the past owners benefit of the doubt that they thought it through with the best interests of all parties, including the supporters (after all where would a team be without its fans?), in mind before they made the commitment. And I now continue to answer things on this because I want to see if something can be worked out for the best, it would be much easier to simply let it lie and ignore the issue than to come back here and continue to see my posts responded to in a less than happy way. I think we all want the same thing when it comes right down to it, the best for our club.
