FF News
Striker Danny Boyle, who plays for North West Counties League Premier Division club Colne, is celebrating success on and off the field after a busy few weeks. Boyle, who has scored twenty goals this season and was the Premier Division Player of the Month in October, has also raised over £600 for a local hospice charity after undertaking various fund raising events over the last few weeks. His efforts will benefit Pendleside Hospice, an organisation that enhances quality of life for people with life-limiting illnesses who live in the Burnley and Pendle area. Press officer Dave Priestley explained: "Danny's involvement with the hospice began after a close friend and former teacher contracted cancer. "Danny has raised a total of £665, and a cheque for the amount was raised at the club and presented to a hospice representative before Saturday's game with AFC Liverpool."
