That's cos it's a waste of time. I don't know who's idea it was to put that feature on there but whoever it was hasn't got a clue about football at this level. I think they think we have full-time media personnel able to piss around on the internet whilst games are being played.

The rest of us live in the real world. Youe best bet is to look at Twitter.

I do have a glance at it from time to time, but at my age, I have to have 30 minutes notice and a note from Nurse !!

You're not gonna see every goal on there but you'll get the majority. All done free of charge and without any fanfare saying "look how good I am by coming up with this idea and providing this service for you".

Spelthorne 6 Guildford 1

The hosts took a while to make their superiority count, but a quick trio of goals midway through the first half settled matters despite a solitary reply from the visitors. Three second half goals completed the sound beating, although Guildford did their best against fitter, smarter and more talented opposition.

The pitch played well enough to let the hosts stroke it around and catch out a high visitors' back line. No idea what issue the travelling duet nearby had with the cherubic boy in the middle, as he got most things right from where I was stood. Opinions, eh? Who'd have 'em?

Russ, thats the problem with this site,100's read it,but no one informs others of where they can go to get the info.At least Bomaya helped with his Website/Twitter feeds, which was very helpful in getting individual Club news, but alas the powers that be on this site, took it down. How about you posting the link above,in a thread of its own,and we get it locked, just an idea.

Eastbourne United 1 Horley Town 3 FA Vase 2nd Round

Playing against last season FA VAse Semi finalits Eastbourne who were on a great run of four straight wins. Town showed many changes after Tuesday disappointing deafet at Hanworth. In came veteran keeper Ian Chatfield and Town welcomed back defender Charlie West after injury. Town went on the attack from the start and soon gained the lead. Town were playing some good football and with Chatfield orgainsing the back four Town went in at half time one nil up. From the kick off in the second half Town extended the lead through Ashley. Town changed things about in the second half but still had the upper hand. In the 1st minute of injury time Eastbourne were awarded a penalty from which they scorerd. Town were not finished and Town went straight up the other end and scorered goal number three to go into the 3rd Round of the Vase for the first time ever. Good officials as well from Kent.

Lammas 2-2 Worcester Park

Good game and the right result imo, both teams missed absolute sitters in the game, nice people at Worcester Park and a good club.

I spoke to a committee member of WP and he tells me that the players pay £100 a season signing on and £10 a week subs, I think this is a brilliant way to run a club and if they don't pay they don't play.

As for the game our second goal was superb and the team is working really hard, I'm very much enjoying watching the lads at the moment and looking forward to next Saturday already.

Ellers,so by their figures a squad of 16 x £100 pound signing on fee = £1600

They play 30 games @ £10 a game for 13 players----------------------=  £3900

Making a net take of------------------------------------------------------------= £5500

Less expenses for officials through the season 15 games @ £130---= £1950

Making a net Profit of-----------------------------------------------------------=£3550

The only problem being that they do not have a ground for promotion, thereby blocking others who do.Suggest you try it at Lammas,a nice little earner, especially if like Worcester Park, you have 2 sides.

Westfield 1-5 Tunbridge Wells

Decent game and a deserved win for Tunbridge Wells, although the scoreline flatters a bit. Very vocal support from the away contingent, not sure if they travel in such numbers for a normal league game. Westfield started poorly giving away a 4th minute goal but got back into things well and equalised mid way through the half (Michael Milne). Unfortunately for them, they conceded just before and just after half time which probably ended the game as a contest. Westfield had one or two chances to get something back but were not as clinical as the Tunbridge Wells forward line, with the 10 completing his hat trick late on.

Smudge there is a lot more cash that comes out of the pot, rent for the pitch, kits, programmes, food, drinks, balls, training equipment, track suits etc, so not a lot of cash left at all unfortunately.

As spectators, we pay for our leisure, so a contribution from players would seem appropriate in the best interest of a club too. It is certainly far from a prohibitive amount in this instance and once you start multiplying the figures by numbers in a squad, you've paid quite a few bills. Hard to see whose noses would be put out of joint by these arrangements, although every walk of life has 'something for nothing' merchants and so I suspect this level of football is no different.

Where do I start? As I said after the game elsewhere, Camberley deserved their win for their second half performance. Windsor struggled to get a grip on the desire, pace and movement that they were faced with. Two very good sides trying to play competitively but far too much niggle off the ball which was missed all game long by the utterly inept team of officials. I have tried throughout to be consistent when commenting officials and certainly give praise where it is deserved. However, yesterday's was a complete and utter joke. Both sides were guilty of leaving a foot in after the ball had gone. None of the officials saw any of what was going on which frustrated the players, management teams and spectators alike. No surprise when there was a big flare up about 30 minutes into the game.

If that was not bad enough, the referee just could not get the most simple of decisions right. Camberley's right back puts the ball out for a throw in so the inept official gives the throw to Camberley. In the second half Camberley were on the attack and just as the winger was about to cross, he stops play as a Camberley player was on the ground with a leg injury. A Windsor player clearly heads the ball out for a corner so he gives a goal kick.

Why do we have to put up with such useless officials? This is the second one this season who has been a complete disgrace. The first was the one we had against Cove.

As I said earlier, I am not blaming the officials for the defeat but they did their best to ruin a game between two of the more consistent teams in the league.

Paying to play is nothing new. I did this for years when playing football and cricket. Clubs have to be smarter in the way that they get the necessary revenue to be able to afford to operate on a day to day basis.

I would agree in the main.  He didn't have a particularly good game but it truly wasn't helped by the players attitudes and attempts to try and get people booked by screaming in agony and then running around the next second.  It also doesn't help when managers and coaches berate a linesman for decisions that have taken place 80+ yards away !  And this was from the very first minute before the poor bloke had a chance to get anything wrong !

No complaints but I thought it was a slightly unfortunate loss for Windsor in the end.

Unless Kirby's head injury is nothing more than superficial we are likely to go into Tuesday's game with zero central defenders. When Camberley scored their 2 goals late on Kirby was sporting a head bandage and Leonetti could hardly walk, let alone run. Ellis' main injury came after the winning goal but that looked quite serious. (And Jeffrey is suspended of course.)

Searching for a late late late equaliser we had a great effort brilliantly saved by their 'keeper.

Our young 'keeper has done nothing less than could be expected of a teenager but he does have a tendency to fumble under pressure and one such fumble gifted Camberley the winner. The sooner Dennison is fit enough to play the better.

PS That ref was pretty poor - as you say LS the one that really got me (on behalf of Camberley) was when their guy went down in the centre circle (it was an odd one as he seemed to be holding his stomach rather than his leg but I hadn't seen any contact) and the ref played on... he even looked around at him a couple of times as Camberley's attack developed and then, just as they were about to cross, fully 10 seconds after the injury and just as the bloke was showing signs of life, he blew up. Absolutely inexplicable.

Anyway, we do play some lovely stuff at times (not much evident in the 2nd half yesterday) but it looks like the big physical teams are always going to be a problem for us.

Top 4 will be a good finish for us.

Exactly! Many of us, just as you say, paid our subs to play, in my case Sunday football, two codes of rugby and cricket. We accepted it. We understood that stuff had to be paid for. Maybe it's a generation thing?
