Rhodes is what they call fairweather supporter.

Rhodes predictions on how Edgware Town FC would do this season were absolute Bollo**s  :D  but that sums Rhodes up to be honest.

Hope Edgware Town FC turn things around.

Latest press report is of a VERY confused man, walking down the Edgeware Road, muttering to himself !

Could it be....... ??

Did the manager resign or was he 'sacked'? Hope for the people actually involved in the club they get it together and move forward. As for Rhodes 'it's all gone quiet over there.....again.' The league f*cked up reinstating Tik Tok and putting ETFC straight in division one. I think all of us who voiced this have been proved right.

To be fair to the league here, it was the FA that decided to put Edgware into step 6.

What I don't know is whether the league was able to reject them or allowed to put up an argument against the decision.

would be interesting to know.

After one win - against London Lions, who midweek are usually a 'shadow' of their Saturday side - ETFC are back were they have been most of the season, near the bottom of the table.

Rhodes. Where are Glasgow Rangers - one from the bottom (like ETFC) or one from the top?

  • 2 weeks later...

Are any members of the old Edgware Town involved with the new club. As they actually won the Prem, if so, surely they know the strength of the SSMFL to go straight into Div 1.

Anthony Manzi was the club secretary before the club lost its ground. Looking over the last few week, results have picked up and the club not struggling as much, the club has used a lot of new recruits recently, and from what I gather a new management team are coming in over the weekend. Although nothing official from the club yet.

When the club lost its ground and had to be disbanded the club was being run by Kenny Batten / Paul Gregory / myself and the late Del Deanus . That's what made it work so well as Kenny and Paul trusted us to make decisions as well as manage the football team. Harrow council killed the club by allowing the land to be built on and I for one never thought ETFC would play again .It will take a while for the new set up , which is completely new and doesn't involve anyone from the previous original Edgware Town FC ( other than Kenny Batten being an honary president ) to find its feet . A ground a brand new 4g pitch and getting in at Step 6 is a massive achievement in itself. It will never be the old club with its character and what was its home at the White Lion ground , a club that had great success just before its demise , but it can be a club that can progress given time and I am sure it will. People just need to let the club walk again before trying to get it to run . Good luck to those involved , I'm sure things will begin to pick up soon
