This coming Saturday 15th November, AFC Croydon Athletic will be playing their first real HOME game since joining the CCL against an in form Banstead Athletic at the Keith Tuckey Stadium,Mayfield Road,Thornton Heath,Surrey. A lot of hard work has been put in by a small dedicated band of TRUE Rams Supporters to make this possible,Paul,Peter,Alan,Barbara take a bow.Praise must also be given to Croydon Council as well for supporting this venture.I just hope that the weather stays fine, and that the so called Fans, who flocked to see the previous Club,in their 'Ryman Premier Glory days' return in droves.I can but hope.I personally will be swelling the crowd by 1,home life permitting. So please make an effort to attend this game,so that the effort by a few, does not fall on stony ground.

Thank you Smudge for your kind words.   I shall look forward to seeing you on Saturday and hope you are able to join us.   Also thank you to others for their good wishes both on this forum and direct, it is certainly nice to receive.

The goals are up, the pitch is marked out and everything is more or less ready for us to welcome Banstead Athletic for the 2pm kick-off as Lazarus has said.   I hope some of you will be able to get along if you don't have your own games to go to that is.

After the game, in the clubhouse, we will be showing the England v Slovenia game live so please feel free to stay on.

Hope it's easier to get to than the last one!!!!!

Perhaps more straightforward but the traffic can be worse :D ... still, we can't make it too easy for you

How did the pitch play/hold up?  :feedback:

In all honesty the pitch could probably have done with a couple of more weeks before it was played on. It was extremely spongy and the grass was long. Consequently the ball held up a lot but it was not a danger at all. It will need a little more tlc following the encounter
