FF News
Following the resignation of Gary Ackling, Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South & West club Wantage Town are happy to announce the appointment of Daniel Barry as manager. He takes over from Ackling with immediate effect, stepping up from Wantage Town Reserves, where he gained them promotion last season. Barry will be assisted by Ian Lovegrove and coach Rob Wytchard. Former assistant Andy Lyne has also stood down. Secretary John Culley: "We feel that Daniel has proven his credentials over the last season at Wantage. His professional approach and coaching skills have been evident by the young side he has put together who play attractive football and we are confident he can build a side who will compete and keep Wantage Town in the Southern League. "Daniel's appointment as first-team manager leaves the post of reserve-team manager vacant so we are now looking for a suitable person to fill this who will share Daniel's and the club's vision of developing young players and who will work closely with him to build a strong squad.
