Richard Pears has resigned as manager of South West Peninsula League Premier Division club Exmouth Town.

Pears had been in charge at Southern Road for the last two-and-a-half years, and had led them to unrivalled success in recent years.

Accolades include the Devon Premier Cup, the South West Peninsula League East Division and following promotion to the top flight, the runners-up spot in the Premier Division last season.

The club wish to place on record their appreciation for all his efforts and wish him every success in the future as he concentrates on his new work and family commitments.

Whilst a permanent successor is sought, Mark Saunders and Kevin Hill have agreed to take control of all first-team matters.

Anyone interested in taking on the position are asked to contact chairman Bob Chamberlain on 01395 276297 or 07771532787.
