18-10-14: Kingstonian v Billericay Town

Recommended Posts

Details for travel to Kingstonian next weekend are on The Umbrella Man Tours page:

http://billericaytownfc.wix.com/fans#!umbrellaman/cqjn

The nearest station to the ground appears to be Norbiton.  The good things about this is that we can meet up at Waterloo and stop off at New Malden.

We could meet in The Wellington, the pub we stopped in on the way home from The Met but it doesn't open until 12 on a Saturday.

The Hole in The Wall is the obvious option.  From Waterloo to New Malden only take 20 minutes.  Bar Malden, just outside New Malden station was quite good, and it serves food as well as drinks in a fish bowl (with LOTS of ice...).

Norbiton is one stop, and 3 minutes from New Malden.

The ground is a 20 minute walk from the station.

The Umbrella Man will be able to fill in any gaps.

That sounds like kingstonian.

They moaned constantly about our heavy handed tactics in the play off semi when all I saw was them trying to get Payne sent off and winning free kicks everywhere by blatant diving.

Used to be a famous old non league club but just recently are getting a name for being a pain in the arse and their fans have suddenly turned from being jolly middle class luvvies to vile weat London chavs, like many of their fans favourite prem club,Chelsea (Que chelsea Ricay fan)

You'll also get told to fck off back to Essex a and called pikeys as it seems to be the limit of their vocabulary nowadays

They moaned throughout the match today.

The standard of officiating was below par though their red-card was warranted.  Cyrus was unlucky to be sent off, he was already on a yellow when he was pulled up for what we all thought was a good tackle.

Once again The Blues played some good football on a very good surface.  We won't see Town play at a better ground than that in the league this season, it was even better than Lewes, and the burgers weren't bad at all.

The bar is nice and the staff in there were friendly and chatty, very inviting.

The lads worked really hard against a stubborn 10-man K's side and were worth at least a point.

I shall upload the video to YouTube in the morning and share it on here.

A good review of the game and club James. Makes a difference when a club is welcoming... Yes the supporters moaned but all supporters moan... Including and especially The Urchins on their day.

An enjoyable game and well done to those who travelled to support the the team. As well as the team... Cut the errors out and we'll start moving up the table... Once again Craig and his team work hard to bring in talented hard working players who respond to positive support.

One point I would like to make... It would make a change if the club focused its view, not only to the team but also recognising those that do support the team positively, HOME and AWAY... We can all accentiate the negatives in blogs and forum comments but it is done at the cost of alienating those supporters who are, in general, positive and supportive of the team and who's concern is the future of the club.

Good performance after the 1st 20 mins. Played some very attractive football and I thought we were unlucky not to come away with the win. Lots of teams going two down away after 20 mins away from home would give up but credit to the whole team that they went for it and nearly succeeded. Ref was worst we have seen all season for both sides and I agree Cyrus second yellow was I thought a good 50/50 tackle from which both players went down. Glen had two screamers well saved and saps free kick hit bar and even the rebound was headed off the line. Billy at the other end was hardly tested.

Let's hope Hendon are exhausted from beating Margate.

All fans moan?!  I refuse to believe it... :P

Their players spent most of the first half moaning at the referee, even when they were 2 goals ahead.

Roll on Monday!

Great comment Gazza. There are times when Supporters judge performance over results and that is sometimes deemed wrong.

You would be lucky to spot a chav at the Bridge these days Eastside, they can't afford the gate money lol.

Well done Town, sounds a good fightback to earn the point. COYB
