Kroons, don't leave us mere mortals in the dark, and these 3 things are?

1 - PFA has too much power.

2 - Players get low basics and the rest is appearance money.

3 - If a player goes on loan the club that holds his contract have to extend the contract by the period of the loan.

He talks very well actually.

Windsor 5-1 Horley

An assessor was at the game today and bloody hell, didn't the ref's performance reflcet that.

I thought Horley were particularly hard done by but the fuss he made over every little thing - minor dissent resulted in bookings, an accumulation of the most minor physical contact also resulted in yellows and multiple other nothing infringements were blown up even when there were obvious advantages to be taken. A straight red for a Horley defender after what was a bad foul seemed pretty harsh as well.

I guess one should bear in mind that for all I know the ref might have been "on review" for being too lenient and common-sensical in a previous game.

Not that it was his fault but Windsor's 5th goal was at least 2 yards offside - so easy to spot I have no idea how the lino could possibly have missed it. To be fair, other than that the lino did ok, including sticking to his guns when the ref ridiculously and theatrically gave a goal kick to Horley after the ball was clearly headed behind by a defender.

Nice hat-trick from 19yo Kane Jones - 1st one we've scored for what seems like years.

Lots of 12yo boys from Windsor made a fair bit of high pitched noise including embarrassingly cringe-making baiting of Horley's keeper.

A very comfortable win.

No problem with the result but the referee was a joke I hope he has now retired or put out to pasture!. Windsor 2nd goal was a foul much worse than anything before, the sending of was the first thing the player had done in the game only a yellow, although we did start to play when we went down to 10 men.The last goal was miles of side, I did mange to get the Horley goal on video a good one. ;) Difference Windsor a good side Guildford a very poor disorganised side, shame we can not play them every week :D

I heard the assessor had been moved from another game to go to Stag Meadow so maybe there was an issue re past performances.

If so I suspect that game will have delighted the assessor as he certainly applied the letter of the law if not much intelligence.

Why did Jupp get taken off in the 1st half? Although he was down in a heap at the time the decision was made he looked perfectly fit to carry on when back on his feet.

The match report from our win at Spelthorne Sports is here:

http://www.eefconline.co.uk/LCN119.html

I have a few observations.

We earned a penalty after 27 minutes. The Assistant flagged for it, certainly before the ref gave it, although of course it's possible that the ref would have done too. However, after having given it, the Assistant ran to the goal line as if to await a penalty. He was clearly certain that it had been inside the box, which it probably was.

Now I have no problem with the referee going over to speak to the Assistant but they were there for over a minute and I really wondered whether we were going to have the decision changed, even though the Assistant saw it and then was certain it was inside the box. As it turned out, the Assistant rightly won the day and we then scored from the penalty.

I thought Spelthorne were very average and relied entirely on Atiose their right winger who was very good and cannot be playing at this level for much longer. Little else came from the home side though and although they were missing Staples, I thought they would be better than they were.

I hope they don't finish top, as there is no way they could get the ground up to Step Four without a lot of work. It's very neat and tidy and fair play to the people who have constructed it all, but it's too soon for them. Nice place and people though and I look forward to going there again next season.

Finally, I can't believe the Westfield Manager has gone and really hope it is personal reasons and not footballing ones, as they were great against us just last Tuesday and are so far the best team we've played against. Sure, their position is lower than most people thought but it's still early.

I did say E & E Rich didn't I about Spelthorne altho' after losing to Colliers Wood and E&E neither are in the top 6.....yet !  They have Ashford & Cove in quick succession soon so we will know more then as it is still early doors.

They now have 1 point out of maximum 9 not championship form. Winning becomes a habit but so does losing !!!

As per my previous post and reading your comments E&E Rich, it was exactly how Spelthorne played against Colliers Wood getting the ball out to Atiesse their winger, and yes exactly what I said, I'm sure he will step up altho' Jesse has been a loyal Spelthorne lad bar his time at Egham before he broke his leg.

Cove I don't think apply for promotion and in my opinion will have to step up their ground facilities should they want promotion.

Lets not forget, its only a 1/4 of the way thru' the season so still along way to go.  It only needs a team to get on a good winning run like Cove last season and things will quickly change.

Talking of which, Cove are on a good run but then so are Ashford where I will be going Saturday to see them play Chertsey., so it will be interesting to see how they perform.

There is also managerial rumblings going on at Hanworth Villa, so thats where I am going tomorrow to see them play RPV after their valiant effort in the Cup against Billericay..

I decided to take him off as the ref the way he was would of sent him off, which probably didnt help our game plan but sometimes you just need to be sensible.

Chessington and Hook will turn it round, not sure Dorking will though.Think they need a change of Management,he has hardly turned it round ,in his tenure.Writes a promising report in the Dorking Sadvertiser though.Maybe thats all that counts,in their transition.

I wondered whether that might have been the case, although from where I was, having been booked for lip, he seemed to be the one telling everyone else to button it when they wanted to vent their frustrations about another decision a few minutes later.

Still, you know him better than I do! :)

It is a transition Smudge, and it's a new beginning for everyone.

The new board said in the summer that results weren't important this season, but performance and attitude were.

I think the management team will be given time to improve or change the playing group, they deserve at least that after (helping)  keep the club going last year with no home or base.

Thanks Ellers and Redrup, I thought 1-4 was a little harsh though you deserved the win.

I see your post spurred them on to a fine Cup win over Spelthorne BG - you'll be asking what's happening down there soon  ;)

So to oblige..... what is happening at Spelthrone of late? ....are they predictable now ?  Are other teams getting to know them after being new kids on the block ?

After their recent defeat at Colliers Wood then by E&E in the league, they lose out to bottom of CCL Div 1 Chessington & Hook on pens after finishing 1-1 !

I did say winning is a good habit, but then so is losing !

Nevertheless, I am sure they will come good again !

It just goes to show why we love football let alone try and understand the mechanisms of it ,..LOL

Well after seeing them twice at Stag Meadow (at end of last season in Cup Final and League this season) I was not impressed so was surprised they confounded my prediction that they would be found out by pace, by storming to the front early on.

I am now equally surprised by their recent collapse!

Is it pace that is finding them out?
