Hendon v Enfield Town

Recommended Posts

Today, after all the excitement of the past week, Town face Hendon at the Earlsmead Stadium, searching for their first away win of the season against their North London rivals. This will be new manager Bradley Quinton's first game in charge and he will looking to kick-off by securing three precious points.

This will not be an easy match for the Town. Hendon have made a very good start to the new season, and are currently sixth in the table having chalked up 13 points from six matches. They have won all their home games to date, beating Bury Town, Bognor Regis and Harrow Borough. They're only defeat was away to Met Police.

One familiar face Towners will see this afternoon is our former striker Adam Wallace, who was very popular during his time with Town. Adam underwent surgery during the summer, but is making a good recovery. We wish him well, but hope he is not in the Hendon line-up this afternoon.

Let's hope Bradley gets off to a flying start in his managerial career with a win this afternoon. Good luck guys!

Full Time:    Hendon 0-3 Enfield Town

WOW!   What a performance, what a result, what a great afternoon for Towners everywhere. Warms the cockles of your heart doesn't it. Fantastic!

Congratulations and very well done to new manager Bradley Quinton and our players on this BIG win today. Three points, a clean sheet, and bragging rights to Towners in a much awaited North London derby.

In the FA Cup today Felixstowe beat Ware 3-0 so we host them in the next round in two weeks time.

Well done to Brad on a great win and well done to the players for such a great response to a tough week..Also a thank you to George for leaving an infrastructure and a squad of players that are capable of a 3-0 away win in the Ryman Premier. When Steve Newing came in he moved us on to another level.George took over and moved us to another level also.Lets hope Brad can do the same. :)

Well said lovely stuff, think you have summarised it very well. In celebrating a fine win today think it is important to remember the efforts and contribution made by George and Steve, who both did us proud in different circumstances. The RPL is a tough competition and you don't always get what you deserve. But today we did and Brad can be proud of his start as our club manager.

What are other peoples thoughts on todays performance and result?

A fantastic performance and all 11 players gave their all for Bradley and the shirt. Amazing how much confidence Bradley has instilled in a short space after it seemed very low in recent weeks. The back 5 including Nathan were solid as a rock, the midfield dominated and the forwards worked their socks off. Just how valuable is Corey Whitely right now?

Agree with all that was said above, especially lovely Stuff. And CD Towner has noticed how well our keeper has played, we've got to give credit to George for getting this guy in.

As for Town, superb, great to see Nathan getting a goal, him and Michael Kalu are staring to look like excellent players. Well done for George and Brad for seeing that in them (and to Steve for getting in Michael from Hendon).

Can't really single out any one player, the whole 13? that were used were excellent, as was the bench.

As for Hendon... nasty. And they now it.
