Pitch looked decent to me.

Great game, Hertford should have won but fair play to SS who kept going till the end.

A very open game...number 9 Leigh Rose had a blinder I thought, caused all sorts of problems.

We don't agree on to much M8 but all 3 of you're points there totally on the button.

FA CHALLENGE CUP Extra Preliminary Round Replay

4-0 London Tigers v Takeley

A report from another Forum:

FA Cup EPR replay

London Tigers 4 - 0 Takeley

Spartan South Midlands v Essex

Adm £6 Prog £1 Att: 35 (h/c)

No hot food spotted sadly but tea was available in bar

A reasonable journey round bottom left quarter of M25 then up the A40 to find Avenue Park off Western Rd. One of the most ramshackle grounds and car parks I'd seen for a while. The limited spaces were occasionally occupied by big piles of wood or other rubbish. I managed to find a spot between a tree and a tin shack. Don't think I've ever been here although Viking Greenford and others have played here before. This community club has nice ideals and from what I'd heard play good football and I wasn't let down on that front.

The pitch has floodlights, hard standing on 3 sides. Fourth side is too narrow for spectators. Pitch was a little rutted in places and the stands were as basic as you can get but it suits fine for Step 5. As mentioned Tigers play decently, lots of short sharp passes, intricate flicks and an attempt to be Barca. Sadly of course, they aren't quite at that skill level so a lot of the time, the attempts don't work but it's still refreshing to watch. Attitude was exemplary - I don't think I heard one swear word from them all game. Takeley, in blue were, to be frank, poor. I read they were lucky to get a replay and I can see why as they barely managed a shot in the first half. In the 28th minute, Tigers took the lead with a nicely placed shot after a jinking run and 1-0 was how half ended.

Second half continued in a similar vein to the dismay of the travelling Takeley committee and fans. With about 15 minutes to go though, Takeley made all their subs and made a push for an equaliser and actually made the Tigers keeper work a few times. Unfortunately their centre back Mark Cooper got a second yellow for a crunching foul and so with a man advantage the skilful forwards in orange and black took control. Three goals followed in five minutes with embarrassing ease and the ref blow up soon after in pity more than anything else.

Really enjoyed this visit and hope to see Tigers have a decent season in the SSML and a good run in the Cup.

Rhodes if you ever go to game ever again in your life time you should try and wright one of these ground hopper reviews im sure it would be a interesting read but like I said you have to attend a game to do that.

I see Eoin Casey played for Oxhey Jets yesterday a good very hard working player who always give's 110% when he plays. Remember him destroying Southall in the Middlesex Premier Cup last season with two very good goals Southall could not get near him.

I was very impressed with Sun Postal. Very organised and they mixed short sharp passing with switching play to one of the 2 wide players and this unsettled our defence. In terms of shots at goal sun postal had far more of them but they kept drifting wide. Was very proud of how our boys battled. Ref was a bit too whistle happy.

Are this team the new one on your hate list?

No, not at all, I have a lot of time for Tring Athletic but it looks like Wisezola's days are numbered at Cow Lane doesn't it

Mr Dacorum - Thanks, yes that would be nice, I just don't think Wisezola has what it takes to be successful and flatters to deceive
