I'm surprised the conspiracy squad haven't made anything more of TRS' 'convenient' cutting of footage during that incident

Not sure that I like that inferred insinuation, Mewcenary  !!

Trevor and others that video matches will always run the risk of being asked for their 'evidence' in possible future inquiries.

Are you insinuating that TRS 'doctored' the tape before posting it ??

can i just say that all the events that happened in the 1st half of the match are inconsiquential (if there is such a word)even the sending off of our captain, which by the way should never have happened, it was the refs poor decision to send him off which was wrong, anyway the game was called off because an official was alledgeadly threatened by a HW player,Kroons it may seem like its not important to you but we are being dragged into something that really has nothing to do with us,the fact is we had nothing to do with the game being called off.

But the game between two of the most middle-class sounding teams ever (Hartley Wintney vs Frimley Green) in the FA Cup on Saturday was abandoned at half time.

Was a fan's Bentley hit by the ball, and he went home, taking the ball with him?

Was there a storming off after a comment about a player's mother-in-law?

Did one posho striker's overbite get caught in the net?

Or was there a riot because the local Waitrose ran out of balsamic vinegar and cous cous?

Actually, because of a suspected punch-up in the dressing rooms...

And there are even highlights:

Impressed by the woman wandering onto the pitch with her handbag during the sending off incident.  Does this happen in the Banarama League too?

The above is from the Bristol City forum (as part of a lengthy piss taking thread on non-league Bristol Rovers!).  :D

Duncs, how can you say that Roo shouldn't have been sent off? Yes Noakesy has conned the ref, but Roo did lash out and the laws are very clear when it comes to lashing out or attempting to lash out at another player.

So really what the FG player should have done when pinched in a painful place was fall to the ground screaming in pain.

That way it would have been the HW player getting sent off instead I suppose.

Thing is, ask yourselves this question - what does any human being do when pain is inflicted in an unexpected way and on an unexpected part of the body where you just don't see it coming and have no time to even half flinch away?

I reckon 99% would instinctively lash out. Not with an "Oooff, take that you bastard" deliberate attempt to hurt whatever had inflicted the pain - rather with an "Ouch, what the f...."

Only semi-joking with the above - I think most would understand the point I'm trying to make.

All this bollox about "if he'd only run away to receive the ball none of this would have happened therefore it's the No 2's fault" is a total red herring and deserves no further response.

You are right Rother but it is not like Roo is a saint now is it :)  Good lad though he is he does tend to get sent off a few times a season :)

No Dan he didn't lash out he merely lifted his arm because he was pinched, imagine being stung by a wasp under your arm what do you think your first reaction would be.

Thats a fair comment Kroons but on this occasion he was hard done by,Noaksey is a great lad and a very good player and without doubt he conned the ref into sending Roo off imho.

The only surprise is that Smudge hasn't blamed the CCL committee...

Powelly1 now why would I do that? For those of you interested, spoke to Steve Honey (Nut250) today, and the GOOD NEWS is,he has been given the all clear. Thanks to all those that PM'd me his number 0, so that I could contact him.As this is the FA Cup thread, suprised that no one has mentioned, the great feat acheived by Bedfont and Feltham,Chessington and Hook,Staines Lammas in reaching the next round of the FA Cup,is this the first time 3 Div 1 sides from the CCL have acheived this?

Just to be explicit, yes, of course I was.  I am a great fan of TRS' video antics and would never dream of accusing him of being inappropriate.

Then I apologise profusely.

I wasn't in the best off moods at the time I originally read your post.
