Rother, I am sorry but you appear to be missing the point.

Why has the FG No, 2 got involved getting in between the Hartley 5 and his keeper in the first place when there was no need to ?

As stated already, if the FG No, 2 goes wide the keeper can throw the ball to him and start an attack whilst taking advantage of the Hartley 5 (I presume their centre back)  still in FG penalty box and not back defending, then none of what happened would happen.

Its discipline Rother, what was the Hartley No, 5 going to do to the FG keeper ?  Why would he need protection ?  Because of FG2 needless action he could have cost his team the game !

The FG2 wouldn't have pinches/scratches on his arm if he hadn't got in between the two of them and certainly wouldn't have got sent off and wouldn't have given away a penalty.

Instead of getting involved, quick thinking by FG2 by going out wide to receive the ball from his keeper with Hartley 5 in penalty box, would have been more advantageous for his team than giving away a penalty don't you think ?

In my eyes he was stupid, and altho' the game was banned, I still think his red card goes thru' so he will miss 1-2 games !   So its FG2 loss in every aspect because of his actions,..

Hopefully he will learn from this incident, to think quicker and be more smart.

I am not being disrespectful to the FG2 just hoping he will understand my point of view..

So what you saying. The 5 did nothing wrong? Oh but then again he did pinch the arm of the number 2 then feign injury to get him sent off. That in my eyes is cheating. Oh and at half time threatened to hit the linesman when he was told to go to his changing room. As explained by the ref to Luke Mullen and Mark O'Grady as being the reason to call the game off. You make no comment on his stupidity! why?

Duncs I'm not associated with Hartley in any way nor with any club.  As my original post mentioned, ''from viewing TRS highlights'' from there comes my comments.

Craig, think about it, what was the Hartley 5 going to do knock out the Frimley keeper ? he did nothing wrong until the FG2 intervened which caused the problem.

As stated, and what everyone seems to be ignoring is why did the FG2 get himself involved !  He wouldn't have been pinched !  He was foolish to get himself involved when he needn't have and 'cos of his stupidity he got himself sent off, gave away a pen even if the HW5 dived or not, the situation made the referee make a decision, and finally he could have lost the game because of his actions.

FG2 lacked responsibility and discipline.  I'm not influencing people Duncs, its just my opinion, people can make their own opinion.... just putting it out there being a forum of discussion..

Again, had the FG2 not get involved, in my opinion there would not be any incident and the game would have finished, possibly with FG winning as they were at the time may I add !

Yes well if it was a non-contact sport and nobody ever went in for a challenge there'd never be any incident either.

You could pick on 100 incidents every game where players get involved in something which they needn't really have done, and where, if one of the parties involved decided to pinch the other one there'd be a flare up...

Not commenting on the aftermath but by initially stepping in between the No 5 and his keeper the No 2 really didn't do anything wrong.

Your still missing the point. The 5 cheated by pinching the 2's arm then feigned injury. Fact. Then at half time physically threatens the linesman. Fact. That action by him caused the game to get called off. FACT. Yet you still carp on about the stupidity of the 2. As Duncs says perhaps you are the number 5? I've only heard two people use the term" Mugged him off" twice regarding this issue. One is you, the other is the number 5!!!!! So mate, again what's your view on the 5's threat to the linesman? Don't tell me he had it coming to him!!!

Rother, your right. I've not discussed it with the number 2 but maybe he's more intelligent than Bad Guy! There are no rules against him doing what he did and maybe just maybe he saw the 5 out of position and did it so the keeper could get the ball away quicker and unhindered by the 5 ?

So the referee has made his report, which the FA will consider.

Should we not all now wait for their decision ?

Amazing what a bit of controversy can do for the ratings or maybe it's the lure of the FA Cup, but just looked at the stats and so far the HW/FG video has been viewed in (deep breath):

UK, Russia, Dominican Rep, Belgium, Thailand, Norway, Indonesia, Germany, Austria, Malaysia, South Korea, Guernsey, Italy, Kenya, USA, Spain, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Singapore, French Polynesia (anyone?), New Zealand, Portugal, Lithuania, Cyprus, Canada, Ireland, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Malta, Poland, Egypt, Qatar, Sweden and Brazil!

Craig, I'm not missing the point all !  As I have stated before,  its all about opinions so no need to gang up with Rother on this issue... LOL.

The HW5 may have pinched and cheated, but I keep repeating if the FG2

didn't get involved needlessly, the pinching, the cheating, the penalty, the red card, the sending, the goal would not have happened, and I'm sure the HW5 wouldn't have got involved with the linesman at half time.  This incident caused the friction and need not have happened then the players would have played 90 mins.... with FG winning...perhaps.!

Take a step back and just think about it !

Thats the last I saying about this incident as it must be getting boring for the other posters.

Think what you want thats what forums are about !

I've asked you several times now on what your thoughts are on the 5 threatening "To do the linesman" at half time and you still can't answer it! Clearly the FA think he was out of order but you can't say that why? Again you just carp on about the FG 2. Tell us all what rule says the 2 can't get between the keeper and an opposition player?

Now i'll give you a clue there are two questions in this comment. Now answer them as you have a lot to say on the issue! You have so much to say on the issue defending the HW 5 but you have nothing to do with them! Bo..ocks!

Bo..ocks ?  Calm yourself down Craig !   Are you connected with FG by any chance ?

As I have said before, I am NOT connected in any way with HW and I am not defending the HW5 for his actions.l  I am just a ground hopper watching different levels of non-league football.

As mentioned in my last post, I wasn't going to ''carp'' on about this subject anymore as its getting boring for other posters, but you have drawn me into this again by asking questions and demanding a reply, which I will endeavour to do at your animated, sarcastic request

I have answered about the HW5 ''apparrent'' threatening behaviour towards the linesman. (Not sure of the referees report)  All I am saying is that had this FG2/HW5 incident NOT happened, I think the linesman  ''incident'' at half time with the HW5 may not have happened, but maybe, 'cos like you he was animated it did happen.

Notwithstanding, IF it did happen then naturally his actions are inexcusable

And there you have it !  Exactly where you are missing the point in my opinion. What rule stops FG2 actions ?   There is no rule obviously, but what I am trying to emphasise is questioning the FG2 actions, lack of responsibilty and discipline towards his team which created this incident, got himself a red card / sent off, giving away a penalty, conceding a goal, banned for 2-3 games and putting his team in possible danger being under unnecessary pressure of playing with 10 men for the rest of the game.  If I was his manager I would have had a stern word with him thats for sure for putting his team mates in a needless precarious position.

Now can I ask you a question please ?  Can you tell me what would have happened instead of getting in between his keeper and HW5, the FG2 was more intelligent by NOT getting involved with the HW5 who was doing nothing wrong, just run wide where the FG keeper could have thrown him the ball to start up a quick attack whilst the HW5 defender was out of position in the FG box  ?

FFS.  It is like a playground.  He only did that because he did that and then did that and he wouldnt have done that if that hadnt happened blah blah.

These are grown men who should know a lot better and from a distance none of them have ANY excuse for what they have done.  Roo will get his ban and I hope, if proven, the HW 5 gets a substantial ban from football for what he is alledged to have done.  Why people feel they need to defend the indefensible is beyond me.
