Richard Halle "bounced" back with a goal but not the win he wanted.

To use a regular quote " our season will not be defined by results against" Margate and Maidstone. I suspect they may well open quite a gap by Christmas.

We must  "bounce back" against ET on Monday     COYB

We got spanked by a very good side but did ourselves no favours as we repeatedly failed to close them down and also made some individual errors.

We improved in the second half and managed to create a few chances although you felt they could have upped it if they had to.

Monday is an important game now - hopefully we'll find the opposition a bit less testing and get back on the winning trail.

By the time some people had walked from one end of the ground to the other at kick-off, the game was effectively over! It was a right royal spanking. As good as Margate are for this level, they're not world beaters and the manner of our performance was for me, unacceptable. When we played Swansea in the FA Cup, a team far, far better than Margate, we pushed them all the way. Yesterday we rolled over. A game of mid-table ryman league filth awaits us tomorrow. I can't wait!

A very bad day at the office I personally didn't believe all the hype surrounding Margate but you live and learn.

We were never going to out football them so had to be in their faces from the off and it just didn't happen you just can't  give a team of decent players that much room and space on the plus side we don't play them again till next year :) .

A good turn out from the supporters again onwards and upwards fingers crossed for a good performance tomorrow.

Ahh yes season 2007/8 the year we finished 10th getting rolled over 4-0 and 5-2 at home by relegated East Thurrock and Boreham Wood.

You appear to have missed the point. And I don't get the point you're trying to make in your post.

I have spent a day reflecting on Saturday's agme and disappointing though it was, crying over it doesn't help. It's gone...We can only learn from it. And the lesson is clear... play to our strengths where we come across teams that are obviously better at the passing game than us. Work rate and effort. Yes we can play football but obviously not against teams like Margate. So, we should, pick those games where we believe the conditions suit us. Pick our battles...

...I strongly believe that if we had just closed Margate down and worked as we know we can, the result may have been different.

So..., Saturdays result is behind us...lets look forward to this afternoons game.
