Wood v Dorking Friday 7.30pm at Wibbandune

Thunder & lightning permitting, Chris.

There a right royal storm going on over leafy Dorking as I type.

Wood 4-0 Dorking.

Not a one sided game at all and Chicks really should have been 2 up in first 3 minutes.

They kept at us all night making for an enjoyable evening.

Two Dan Harding goals and Mario Embalo and Nick Kalakoutis with the others.

Mole Valley 4 Newhaven 1

Good result.

I trust it was a good game.  Newhaven can be a bit 'feisty'.

Tbf they were actually decent people, they brought their reserves up as well to play Cobham's firsts after our game was 0-0 when I left

Rich,Ex Croydon boys doing the business for you.Everywhere I look these days,ex Croydon players are on fire,at Whyteleafe,Kingstonian etc.

As an aside see you are now back on the Committee at E&E,and Tony Jeffercoate is no longer Chairman, hope he is OK.

Is my good friend Ex Dorking Manager,Peter Bucklan still in charge at Horsham Y.M.C.A.?

Yes Peter..... "Bucks" is still the Gaffer at Y.M.C.A., though I haven't spoken to him for a few weeks we are still in touch.

Yes Smudge, he is still there. Although after the way we ripped their defence apart and their horrible offside trap, he might not be there by the end of the season :)

Also back as Programme Editor, but with smaller but hopefully still informative issues this year as the club make a concerted effort to cut down on costs.

Expectations are lower this year directly as a result of this, but I think we will still surprise a few people and I would be disappointed if we finished in the bottom half. I'm sure top six will be the Manager's aim, although we are all aware of the improvement in standards across the League this season.

You may have noticed I have posted a match report of DFC's friendly last night at Y.M.C.A., where we came back from being down to win.

I have texted 'Bucks' for his comments !
