7-2 favourites

With BETWAY(whoever they are).Am expecting other bookmakers to come out with their odds near the end of this month.

I think 7-2 is a "cracking price" and envisage other firms will install us as much shorter favourites than that. I would have said 6/4 but what do I know!

Very shrewd Tom. Just in time too as it seems money has been pouring in on us. BETWAY now down to 9-4 (originally opened 9-2) Still best price over others offering odds)

BET365 have us in at 11-8 (more or less like what I thought we would be).

BET VICTOR have us at 7-4.

All the above dosent mean a thing really unless we actually do the business, come up to expectations and win the league and despite our optimism that most certainly isn't a done deal but we should be there or thereabouts with the playing staff we have representing us this season.

League's over already apparently, if you believe this....

Corinthian Casuals boss Matt Howards' comments

“Ks have made some very good signings, look strong and will be there or thereabouts,” said the Casuals boss.
“Margate, with the players they have signed, will be unstoppable and will absolutely steam roller that league.

"Odds on them winning it will be short but I think a decent bet be would be whether they can complete the season unbeaten."

No pressure then!

Nothing is certain here.On paper maybe we win hands down but thats not where the game is won. In reality terms its what we do on the pitch thats going to see us succeed and as it is of now, personally,I wouldn't get too excited.

There are going to be many teams wanting our scalp and upping their game because of the pre-season publicity and their reputations and that makes the ultimate goal harder to achieve (excuse the pun).

From what I've witnessed thus far we are not quite there yet but I would hope that come the start of the season proper, the players will be more on the same wavelength.

The manager is going about things in the right way with his preparation and lead up to the season but as of now we are i.m.o a little bit short of where the expectations from everyone see us at the end of the season.

Tonight v Folkestone for instance we didnt look at all like championship material for 45 minutes and looked more like a 10-1 shot for the title but then for 30 minutes in the second half we were extremely, extremely good,DID look like a force to be worried about and odds on for the title wouldnt have been far out.

Pressure is there indeed to succeed but as I said at the beginning nothing is certain here, nothing is a forgone conclusion and nothing should be or can be taken for granted.

Individually we have class players yes but the squad,as a unit will still have to "turn up" on matchdays on a regular basis and be consistent, play with pride &be hungry for success rather than just assume their pedigree alone will see them win through.

Couldn't agree more Cookie.

Just to clarify, although I posted the article, I don't agree with the fact we've won the league, far from it, and no way will we go unbeaten all season.

All we can hope is that everyone gives 100% week in week out, and if that happens, then we can't ask anymore.

But it's nice to have a little optimism pre-season, and if we gain some early wins, that will breed confidence in the squad, then who knows?

I  went in  to  a  few local  shops, and none  would offer   anything  above 11/8.  A  real  shame  as i  was  lumping a  large  bet on you   guys.
