The most precarious job in the CCL.

Has to be Managing a Club, over the past 2 seasons, 23 are no longer at the Helm for one reason or  another. It is no coincedence that teams in the premier who have longer serving Managers do best.In terms of promotion. Also attain a higher League position, regardless of money spent. Is there a correlation between the two.

Lyndon Buckwell has now Managed our club for 397 competitive games since November 2006.

It all comes down to stability at a club and we've always been very keen on that at Epsom. We've only had nine Managers (plus one brief Caretaker/Manager) since 1973!!

The guys at Molesey have been there quite a while too.

Have both been successful? That's an interesting question and depends really on your definition. We have one Cup, as I think do Molesey to show for the last decade. Either way, both clubs are happy with their Managers because they know that stability is a good thing in most cases. Over recent years, and with the ground issue constantly hanging over us, I'm happy with how its gone on the field. So far!

It depends what clubs want, I think with a winning mentality comes a manager who is probably difficult to handle or passionate as i like to call it,I am very passionate but have won loads of stuff as a manager/assistant at this level and my record is up there with the best, only got sacked once and that was at Cove (after 4 games ) and still have my theory on why but thats how precarious the managers job is one week you are flavour of the month and the next you are a kent.

Lee probably would but he had to pick up a side whose manager had just sodded off to Merstham with several of the squad (and where Mr Hamsher managed to take his new club from 6th to 20th before being sacked). Lee then proved his worth last season adn hopefuly will carry on his good work in the forthcoming season.
