As an outsider, looking in, I hope that regular forum users will not object to my posting.

If Fleet Spurs do indeed join CCL1 next season, along with Epsom Athletic, Southall (reported interest), the reformed Croydon Athletic and A N Other (assuming that CCL1 would consist of an even number of team) then the Hellenic League is going to be very light for teams next season.

In Gloucester, rumour has it that Winterbourne United and Tuffley Rovers will be in the Western League Division 1 next season - two sides potentially lost from the Hellenic set-up.  If sides like Wallingford, Kintbury, Sanford (Swindon), Eton Wick (floodlit?) aren't moved up in the summer then the Hellenic will be the smallest Step 6 league which is ironic for the area which it serves.

There is a rumour that Chippenham Town might add a reserve side to the Hellenic, but that is only speculation at the moment.

There's a clear case for uniformity at Step 5-6, and I hope that the Hellenic can add more sides and be more competitive.  If the WMRL can consist happily of 22 sides then there's no reason why other leagues can't.

Thanks very much Smudge, and I'll keep the offer in mind JR.

Saw a post on the Hellenic Forum about Rayners Lane moving over to the CC, however I'm not sure if it would be this coming summer or when the proposed changes are made.  If it's this coming summer, then it looks like CCL1 will have a healthy amount of clubs in it if Epsom Athletic, Southall, Fleet Spurs, Croydon Athletic and Rayners Lane join.

Sad to see Bookham go though.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if Alton Town and Guernsey were to trade leagues next season.
