Newb's, I understand that +95% of Gilmores Groin operations are successful thereafter, the swelling will take @ 8-12 weeks to clear.

After the operation you must obviously rest and then after a week you can start very light training, jogging/running in straight lines, then as weeks progress you will know how you are feeling as to how much further you can increase your rehab/training exercises doing zig-zags, shuttles, sprint work.  A lesson to be learnt is NOT to push too hard (during early weeks) and rush back.  Frustration will creep in,as you will think thats the op done I'm better....WRONG !  You must be patient !  Whilst the body is an amazing instrument, that too needs rests for healing purposes.

A pro who has daily rehab takes them normally 4-6 weeks and an amateur can take 6-8-10 weeks depending on how well the groin is healing/progressing.

I hope the above assists

See Newby, you could have just gone on the Internet, copied and pasted the results from a good source and have it to hand. ;)
