I am having trouble logging on to update the ETFC web site at the moment. When I can do so I will be able to add this link to some more photos on Flickr. The seated stand from Goldsdown Road was put in place today. I have made sure there are some photos which clearly show that the terraces at each end of the pitch are inside the track.

But one of the stands appears to be facing the wrong way!

And I'm not sure if I like the idea of a stand suspended from a crane. I'm sure it gives a really good view but might induce air-sickness in some supporters, and makes it tricky to get to the loo/bar...

The stand facing the wrong way is for Manchester City or Poznan supporters.

Suspended stand is for small people.

On a serious note, having visited the QE on Sunday, the Stadium is looking fantastic and a lot more compact than you would imagine with an athletic track round it. It's without doubt the most picturesque ground i've come across which will offer superb facilities for those wanting to watch a game of football.

The work party are really doing a wonderful job, let's hope the U18s, reserves and first team in particular can give us a truly memorable forthcoming season.:futbolbud2:

Are the Ladies team making any financial contribution to the parent club for the pleasure of playing in the new stadium??

Silly Sod, of course it has the ground graded, it'll be a brand new bar and modern changing rooms, the pitch is their to be seen, the terraces and seating are in place. If in the very very very unlikely event it gets the no go, we'll just play at Cheshunt, where our first 4-5 home games will be played.

But the ground will be passed cos when it's finished it'll be at least a Conf South standard.:yay:

Congratulations on a really stupid comment as not only are we paying to use the pitch we are also one of the points that secured the stadium with it being used for the whole community and not just a single men's team, the whole community includes Men, Boys, Women and Girls.

I'll take that as a back-handed compliment! It was a very simple question not a comment.

Here's another for either you or JB. What contribution / support did the Ladies section make to ETFC's major fund-raising event at PWP last year ???

Having a club thats all inclusive most definitely is an enormous help in getting funding from the Football Foundation and other funding bodies.
