I've been saying this off and on for many years now but ... as long as Bedford stay out at the Abattoir they are doomed to failure. I know many people drive to games nowadays but we are losing at least 100 every game beng in the middle of nowhere. AND the perfect space is STILL waiting for us on Old Ford Road. (Just look at it on Google Sateilite .. and you can still see the Ford Road End shed roof!)  Apparently that derelict site is zoned for 'leisure' so it's perfect. I suspect there are too many people who have put too much into the Abattor for it to ever happen but then the Eagles will never flt properly as i remember them, again. Someone will mention R&D but they at least had support from two clubs AND a millionaire backer. We are averaging less than 300!!! There is no way we can compete like that. We'd be better off at the Athlectics Track or even back in at Old Ford End Road Park! We got 1500 there for the Derby.

Anyway that's what I think. I respect those who restarted and have kept the Eagles running for the past years but to me, it's not my Eagles out there, and they will never compete out there.

Bring the Eagles Back to Bedford!
