With 25 % of the season gone, we sit with 7pts out of a possible 33.

Won 1

Scored 7

Leaked 16

3rd from bottom

Again, as the season started I had a lot of hope, now we will find it hard to survive.

We have becoming a laughing stock.

I disagree - last night was much closer than the scoreline suggests. Any in the very sparse crowd would I hope agree
(a) that there were long periods in the second half when Ciren were giving the ball back to Bedford becuase they were being pressured all over the shop and
(bee) it was an entertaining game with chances for both sides.  None of the Ciren fans were dissing Bedford, believe me.

Youse have a lot more determination, organisation, touch than several teams we have played this year. We have had 7 out over the past 8 weeks and are only now getting our most balanced team out on the park. But, even with our kids on the park we've given every team except Salisbury a real challenge but failed to win ... it happens.

Having said that, what youse did not have was pace at the back and blinding pace up front. Both Hoskin and then Brown were far too mobile for yr experienced but now not as quick as they would like to be central defenders ...  both of them plus Griffin have only just come back from injury.

But, when Mr Williams made his tactical switch second half and stopped the Ciren midfield using their wingbacks as an outball, the tussle between Stupple/Clark and Davies/Mortimer-Jones to control the match was worth the entrance money.

Two killer goals in the last 5 mins, both from passes through the backline, were put away but even then Brown got his meaty fists to the final one but nobody had tracked back to cover Griffin. End of.

Obviously, the Ciren fans gave Bevan MoM. If I'd been putting an NLP report in it would have got 4 stars and Ian Brown as MoM. Good, good 'keeps, him.

Thank you Pylonsider. Very honest words. The frustration is growing, there's no doubt about that. Amongst the fans, board, players and management. As Ady said in his interview on Tuesday, we improve in one department and take one step back in another. One day, it is going to click and we are going to give a team a right thumping. Our neat passing and build up play leads to that, it's just getting your Ian Draycott, Craig Daniel or A.N.Other striker to finish the end product.

Three points would be massive but unfortunately with the cups the league season becomes so stop start at this time of year.

must be watching a different Bedford Town too the one that played on tuesday, because today we only managed 1 worthwhile shot and 1 header all the first half, and as for the second half against Banbury, well lets just leave it at that shall we!!!
