Karen - Yes, lets get back to the topic of our heroine. Just to show that this lenghty thread isn't all one way traffic, here's a link to a site rightly supporting Meredith Kercher and her 'supporters' views on events that took place in Perugia which led to her brutal murder. We're all entitled to an opinion aren't we and, afterall, Meredith is the real victim in all of this:

Another swerve. I suspect the amount of Emmys won by this much vaunted programme to be........

We have no mutual friends Rhodesly

Nevertheless, a certain person who will remain nameless, but lives in darkest Essex, seemed very interested and amused to hear the news of your geographical location

Still swerving.

Loosely - So why do you think our mutual friend would be so interested and amused to hear about your geographical location

I have no idea why he would, as I said, we have no mutual friends, if you have a point, it is funny how you so desperately wanted to return to the topic just a few posts ago but by all means get to the point, life is too short to be trying to imagine what amuses your addled mind.

Meanwhile, as already noted you seem to be doing what you always do in order to avoid answering difficult questions. Not too hard to work out why is it?

Rhodesly, What on Earth Are you Talking About? Medically Retired? You've really gone off the reservation, loopy, the cheese has slipped right off your cracker hasn't it? Honestly, do Care in the Community allow you out without a carer? Don't they do anything to stop you from embarrassing yourself publicly?

I'm retired through having enormous sums of money you idiot! Retired Full Stop, no problems 'medically' you weirdo.

I'm just 52 and wealthy enough to spend the best years of my life enjoying constant holidays, my business is flourishing even without me, rents from my rental properties are coming in thanks to agents, why would I need to claim something 'medical'?

Really, best laugh for years. Either you've gone senile or your sources have dropped you right in it!!!

:D  :D

Medically Retired?

Well that's what I heard on grapevine, sorry to touch a nerve which makes me wonder why you reacted in that way if it wasn't true, it's nothing to be ashamed about as plenty of people retire early these days on medical grounds

Jealous - I'd like to be able to retire when I get to 52 - Don't think that's going to happen.

Cup of Tea - Jealous of barely being able to get up off of your sofa and needing a nurse maid around the clock!

This is  bit of an old story with you isn't it, talk about a dog with a bone. Still far from touching a nerve with me it is a sure sign that you can't get over the chip on your shoulder. I had a slipped (strictly speaking a ruptured) disc in my spine, I had an operation, I was flat on my back for about three weeks total maybe 5 years ago is it now? And still you can't let it go. Priceless Rhodesly, I can't decide if you are what we call learning disabled or just ordinary stupid. Maybe it's time you told your mutual friend  ;)

Still, I enjoy laughing at your expense Rhodesly.

Work hard, save hard, invest wisely and get lucky every now and then. Obviously it's hard for someone like Rhodesly to accept but then he sees someone else who has put in the work made sacrifices and still can't understand it.

Didn't have a holiday from the age of 25 - 45, spent every minute on doing up houses and starting up a business. Been on 2 cruises this year, got another 15 day cruise in November (somewhere hot) and spent a week in Rome, a week in Positano and a week in Mull. In between we live in Italy and Southport. No wonder Rhodesly and his friend have a bit of the green eye. But then good things don't just come to those who sit on their arses photocopying other other peoples materials.
