Bad losers

Recommended Posts

Smudge, Manager50 is well within his rights to stick up for his club here. I'm sure all of us involved with clubs can empathise with the difficulties of midweek matches, especially if they're a long way from home and even more so if they go to extra time. It's polite for at least some representatives of the club to take advantage of the host club's hospitality, but Steve's put a very convincing case forward here so it's unfair to make crude accusations against Molesey. They're one of the friendliest clubs in the league and always clear up after themselves at other grounds. Ultimately football at this level is a labour of love but we have to remember that there are other things in life as well!

May be try posing the question rather than shooting from the hip & belittling the club before all the facts are know.

Nothing wrong with asking the question why did no one from ******** take the hospitality after the game ??

Rather than bad loseres blah blah blah

That's my view but knowing some people thay WILL have there own

Couldn't agree more Teffs!!

Unfortunately that isn't Smudges style and instead he likes to put clubs down rather than ask a question first and wait for an answer before making his judgement and going CAPS LOCK HAPPY!!

By all means have your own view, but at least do it in a constructive way!

Jurgs were you there,NO.I was,the excuse that we have a long way to get home carries no weight with me.Reason ,all clubs could say that,so why is it a league Rule, that hospitality has to be provided. As for putting Clubs down,in my 2 years on here I have only had a go at 3 Clubs,Molesey,Knaphill,Cobham, plus 1 player, for in my opinion good reasons.I do not have to toe the line as far as the League is concerned, because I do not Play,Manage,Ref,in this League.Just being a supporter has its advantages,I can support who I like.Which I have done this year Cove,Croydon,Cobham,Dorking,Epsom and Ewell,Eversley,Farleigh,Knaphill,South Park,Warlingham,Raynes Park Vale,Fans Focus x1,which gives me great pleasure. But if I ask a question it very rarely gets answered. WHY?

if on a saturday they never come in for a beer you could argue the case , being a wednesday night at 10.30pm you cant argue with the boys wanting to go home and get some sleep for work.

while were on the subject id like to say fair play to the South Park boys for having a beer with us after the game, right after there was a mass brawl at full time!

Maybe because the way you go about "asking"?!

Ask a question without the added rants that frequently go with them and maybe you might just get some more answers!!

I notice no-one has asked Manager50 the most important question so here goes.

Was it a standard hot cross bun or one of those upmarket luxury Apple & Cinnamon ones? cheeburga.gif

Spot on Jurg's.

I think you do ask some very good questions Smudge but personally I wont reply due to the way you seem to demand a reply that suits your view & do not accept anyone else's view, that's my view on it which you wont accept :icon29:

It was a Marks & Spencer luxury one, from a pack of 4, with Clover spread. They were a bit expensive at £1.30, and I declined the offer of 2 for £2 as, despite the obvious good value of this, it would have been an act of pure greed as I would probably eaten them all over a period of time. Quite nice, and just about enough to keep me going until breakfast. The tea, a typical English Breakfast leaf, also hit the spot!

The real question here is: which club does the best cake?

Molesey pulled off a fantastic chocolate cake at the end of last season when we went there.

...not that I'm trying to wangle another slice or two this weekend... ;)

Thats a good answer. You seem like a person with his head screwed on who will go far. Good luck to you!

There you go Smudge - proving Jurgs & Teffers point that if you ask the question in the right way you'll get an answer

Thanks Manager50 for your detailed response - good luck with the other 3 buns - I always find if you heat the luxury ones before eating them all you end up needing the Rennies.smilewinkgrin.gif

Guildford Sweeny I'll buy you a full cake if you let us win lol!

Smudge stop stiring things up when there is no real problem here...

I didn't go to the game last night because I had to get up for work at 7am and I know how the Croydon travel can be a long one and so totally sympathise with people leaving straight after the game, had it been the other way round with them not coming into the bar at Walton Road afterwards I would not blame them, no point having a miserable and tired day at work just for the sake of keeping up appearances!

As Webby said this isn't our first defeat and it won't be our last so don't act like this was any more than away defeat in a cup that is definately not our priority this season!

Also what happened to "Smudge will moan no more"? That didn't last long!

-------------------------------

Anyway really looking forward to the game on Saturday against Guildford... I feel its a title decider!

GF,I think if we can win on saturday it could become a 3 horse race,as we have 2 games on Guilford and 4 on Chertsey as the table stands at the moment. We must keep winning though, also Camberley are quietly creeping up on the top 3 teams.............still a lot of games to go.Could be a very close finish.

Nice to read the comments on Molesey ,as a club,I'm only a supporter of the Moles but I was pretty angry at Smudges posting, perhaps he should lay off the charlie, lol

Usual half-cocked b****cks from Smudge - ignore it - everybody else does. Shame that no-one could go into bar after match but I know that one of the management team would have apologised to for the lateness of the hour and this would be understood by the people who know and have to deal themselves with these things.

I have always found the Molesey management, fans and helpers to be a genuinely friendly bunch who provide great hospitality - home made cakes at half time and lovely soup and bread after the match all served with a smile - I can't understand the attitude some people show toward the club.

No need for such venom.

Smudges reply.

Interesting shoutyman, you were in agreement with me over your post on 26th Jan.,and agreed with me in your post of Mar 1,why did you not ignore those posts, where they not half-cocked b****cks, that everybody ignores.Fun though aint it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!got your attention, like many others.VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE.For your information NO ONE APOLOGISED FOR THEIR NO SHOW.IF THEY HAD IT WOULD OF BEEN ACCEPTED FOR SURE.

Yes I agreed with you on 26th Jan when I was young and foolish! (it was a good point though) as for Mar 1st it was purely a contribution to a wide debate by many posters. Even you must admit there have been many, many posts by you that I and quite possibly others have ignored/vehemently disagreed with. (S**t - just realised I agreed with you at the start of this - that's three now-will you keep a record or shall I?)

A Forum would not exist if we all agreed,be pointless exercise. We all have different opinions which is healthy.Maybe I should refrain from posting articles, only post replies.

Think I will give it a try.

Smudge, you would be better served by reading through your posts before you send them. Without exception they are badly punctuated, with frequent spelling errors and you do tend to use capitals when they are not needed. I am sure you are aware of the protocol that capitals = SHOUTING and no-one likes being shouted at. Doubtless you will come back with another of your witless replies slagging either me or Egham Town off, but just consider for a moment the very real possibility that you may, on occasion have a perfectly sound and valid point to make but no-one will want to read it because of your past record.
